Our Top 5 Tips for Summer Travel to Nevada
1. Plan your outside activities for earlier in the morning and later in the afternoon. From noon-4 the sun is so hot - plan inside activities or relax during that time.
2. Make sure to leave room in your suitcase for souvenirs! We loved the pottery at Planet X Pottery, but didn’t have any space to bring any home :(.
3. Drink lots of water - you’re in a desert! When road tripping through the Burner Byway, make sure to stock up on water and snacks as there aren’t many places to stop along the way.
4. Wear sunscreen, the sun is BRIGHT! If you’re out during the hotter parts of the day, try to cover up a much as you can.
5. Allow space in your day for play and exploration, some of the best parts of our trip were the in-between moments.
Here is a peek at how we explored the Burner Byway. Follow our footsteps if you like, or find something brand new yourself.
